Hi, I am well advanced in the purchase of a neon blu cab. Question is how big a job is it to replace the front scuttle panel. Shows signs of rust around the n/s wiper? Any thing to worry about?
Also roof hasn't been operated for some time, so can you lubricate prior to operating electrically? Just don't want to break it on the first go.

I hope it is VERY cheap ! A scuttle 'repair' can vary between £100-£1500 . It depends how far the rust has spread. A really bad case scenario will involve a rusty bulkhead and heater plenum. Whatever happens, it is more than likely the wings and dash will need to be removed and you can be sure you will find more dramas along the way :( If you are not sure what you are looking at, get somebody who does to look at it. better to walk away from a potential drama than to buy one.

Re the electric roof,If the seller cannot show you it working, assume it is foooked and needs £500 to fix it . You MIGHT get lucky and it may just need the motors resyncing . If it does not work, it will NOT be a fuse or the switch, no matter how much the seller protests !

Just needs a fuse! :)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

As Pete said CHEAP or not worth it, personally a cab that needs the scuttle doing suggests its very poor condition and normally means all the rubbers will be letting in water including the boot and if the carpet is wet you may as well leave it alone as it will be a right rotten turd and not worth a penny.
