Torn between 2 phones

Usual time for free upgrade time in a couple of week's.

There is only 2 phones i'm looking at and it will be one or the other.
Always used windows phones as most of my is internet stuff.

Had my heart set on the htc x8 widows 8, looked up anythinggood to compare to it, Came up with the htc one.

Theres + and minus for each but still to close. Played with both and both easy and feel good. Any help is welcome.

not had a go on the htc, but my mate got a luminar with the windows platform, all i could say was what a pile of absoloute shite, if you want a smart phone it simply has to be apple or android, or your just in a small minorety with a windows

after having android with htc's myself for years until a year ago, i switched to iphone, glad i did, with 24 month contracts these days- you get a htc, samsung/any andriod, they will feel so outdated and old after a year let alone 2 ,and poor build quality, iphone has much better longetivity, and the platform is much more polished, better built phones, everything works better, better apps, i look back at htc phones and they just do not compare

id say this- with the imminent release of the iphone 6 anytime now/september, it will probably blow everything else out of the water and have some ground breaking features, htc/samsung etc will no about already be gearing up for their next releases- so hang fire a few weeks-a month or so, and just get the iphone 6 soon as it comes out and be good to go and something that will be a decent phone for the next 2 years (if your getting a 24 month contract) , pay the premium but have the best there is, youl be so glad you did

Can't stand the eye phone. I use a htc windows 7 phone now and love it, I can't be switched. Heres a side by side to help.

I'm turning it vote I think.

It has to be the HTC ONE is technically far superior to the HTC 8X, so is the price difference. Go for the One or sell it and get a 8x to make some money out of it.

A friend of mine has the HTC 8s and he reckons it is shit.
I fancied a windows 8 phone so I went for the Nokia 520, it is the more basic version than the 920 and so forth but it is an awesome phone, I love it. I recommend that you do not discount Nokia from the running, they appear to have upped their game a lot recently.

But if I was to go for the HTC, I would chose the One.

I have had HTC's for years........and was a fanboi of windows phones......

STAY AWAY FROM ANY WINDOWS PHONE 7/8 PHONE........THEY ARE CRAP......

I hated win phone 7 so much on the Titan, i got the HTC One X+, and it has just been upgraged to Jelly bean 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5

Go for the HTC one.....

my wifes iphone 3 is still going strong and she treats it like crap. ive got the 5 and if you jail brake it, you can pretty much do anything you want to it

true this, someone mentioned "value for money" of the htc, without looking it up, i guess if its the top htc out, price wise wont be that much different to an iphone anyway, iphone maybe a little more up front, but if you get an iphone when new out- 2 years on when contracts up if you look after it, youl see £150+ back , and they last !! so in terms of value for money , they come out on top, durable , htc samsung etc are "cheaper" but cheaper made build quality, like a ford vs bmw, 2 years later a htc has fell to bits of not worth a carrot, plus when a new IOS comes out- you can upgrade it on your year or 2 old phone, andriods dont do that, you get the odd update to a platform, but when a completley new version comes out, you cant upgrade, a major fail of andriods , you buy the lastest andriod , a few weeks later its already surpassed by a newer one, 6 months later its "old" , iphones are still top a year later, 2 years later still decent

i think it was the galaxy s2 came out when iphone 5 did, everyone said s2 was better...a year later theres been a few new galaxys released and the new life companion one, ...still not a patch on the iphone


plus when your andriod fails, you have a nightmare with phone companies to get them fixed, sent away,repaird etc , ages without a phone

iphone fails, your down the apple shop the next day out with a brand new one no hasstles, another big plus

im not apples greatest fan, both have pros and cons, but apples pros, win by far

apple have been under slight presssue of late, its going to be interesting to see what the next iphone does and if they put out something real ground breaking and different,or not

13 meg camera and finger print recognition I've heard for the iPhone 6.

Also a completely new operating software that a couple of people I know have been trying out on their 5's.

i read that about the new operating system a while back, as its time for a bit of a change, hope its for the best and not ruined,as it is greeat as it is, but an upgrade/change for the good, would be good

13 meg would be awsome, the camera quality is great as it is, panoramic on the 5 is immense, took some great photos with that, also fun getting someone in it- and them moving behind you/the camera to then get back in the photo as you get round to the end - so the persons in it twice, or 3 times even, weve done messing about, good fun when drinking with mates
