alpine xda 100a

anybody on here using one of these ? it wont accept the apple usb and I cant find the original alpine usb lead it just says usb error when the ipod is plugged !

I have one, my iPod USB cable is broken too. Only a proper alpine one will work, and they're £25 - £30

Apparently they're just a standard connector with a resistor added to one of the pins. I found a guide somewhere a while ago explaining it but not yet managed to try it. Pain you can't just plug a standard apple cable in as I've got hundreds of them
