Cheers Maggspower
It seems the best way forward to get any precision tunning to the car if any is to be done in the future. the only problem now is finding a good enough one who will do the job right.
I must admit i need to sort out my running issues as she is over fueling with HC Levels at the 900 mark.
looking for a that sombody who knows their engines inside out especially with these old turds to have a look through and actually fix the damm thing.
I have googled a few and come across
http://www.bwchiptune.co.uk/
Has anybody tired them ?
Your honest opinions are welcome.

Kos - Anybody in particular you recommend me speaking to when i get there and or call up to book in for a tune up of some sort.
Is your 330i out of a e46 ? hence that would be a fairly new engine in comparison to the old turds we have here.
When getting it mapped would this be done with a generic map or a live feed map to which the mapper will be making constant adjustments and changes to alter power and delivery ?
Finally when you get this mapped : Where do you plan to use all this power ? on a track i hope.... London roads are far to dangerous and small.

No point 'mapping' a turd that runs like a toilet !

Jon, you need to speak to Jason and he will explain your options
As for my turd, it will need mapping as I'm getting rid of the primary cats, as for extra power and its usability, Its the gutterz and the e46 M3's that problems driving in London with their 343 bhp, my minor gains will never be a match for their M power chariots lol
Pete, who's toilet we talking about ?

Stay away from Sanspeed in bexley was going to get my remap done by them but after they put all the wrong orings and caps on my injectors that i had cleaned, a simple task really you would think. They did put the right ones in the end when i told them. Not recommend... also as they blew my mates engine up too a few years back but thought you never know a once off but no. Never going back to them what ive seen. Total Slap Dash

Jon42. Anything that idles @ 900 ppm needs more than a 'remap'

BM Sport - was once bexley motor works??
I had engine rebuild done (2.7) and it blew up on motorway - they didnt accept liability - had engine repaired - still loosing coolant - they had screwed a stud in too much and made a hole in cylinder head - anyway - they welded it up, mapped my piggyback ecu which they fitted - pinked like mad over 4000 rpm
Car sat in my drive for a year as it never idled and I was dissapointed with the 210bhp
So a year later - shepsevo comes to the rescue - mapped my car and got 227bhp from it - told me that the cowboys who did it last time did not map each block - but every 5 or 10 blocks and averaged it out in between!!!

If its Pete from circuit motors, that's where I'd be going even though Jason is around the corner from me / he once quoted me £600 firm to sort out e36 hood without even looking at it at a show - he said he knew exactly wat problem was - I got it sorted for £100 from someone else in the end

Jason does repairs as well as 'tuning'. I cannot comment on his work but he has been around for years.
Re your poorly IS , I will give that a swerve as it sounds like drama of which I need no more

motorsport developments or MSD for short in Blackpool. They certainly have a brilliant dyno cell, dare i say the best in the UK. Look them up on youtube.
The attention to detail in their work is fantastic, Stu Sanderson is a very knowledgable guy. you can look up some of his technical articles on the web for anything tuning related

*Jason at bw not to be confused with Jason at chipped uk.
Was told the one in Hayes Jason
Ive had very good and very bad reviews (blown engines up) from people that i know that have used the place before.
Blown up engines, really ? Where how & when ?
I could possibly believe that some has wanted their car mapped for max power, lots of ignition advance and mapped on 99 octane fuel, they then run it on crap quality 95 octain, it pinks and does a piston, or they over rev it and it throws a rod
What people need to do is ask them selves how good is their engine and how is it presented to the mapper before they move away from stock. Who's responsibility is it, the mappers or the owners. Personally I say the owners. The mapper can only work with what they are given and do as requested
Never heard of such a story to do with jason @ B&W but I'll ask.
However i've heard stories of others pissing bout with vanos & cam advances on e46 M3's to gain more power. as such this moves the hot spot on the exhuast where the x pipe is to where the cats are and literally melting them.
The truth is no one is perfect but its only the negatives the get publicised
i dont agree IMO, its down to the mapper to determine if the vehicle is suitable to be re-mapped/ live mapped. well any decent mapper would.

Yes they did a sh*t job on my engine a few years back. Not about anymore? Good!

Anymore information on Jason do you know what work he specialises in eletrical, mechanical and or tunning?
how long has he been around for?
has anybody had work done of him?
I ask to just find out exactly what you all think of his quality of work ?

Bexley Motor Works and Sanspeed are 2 separate companies who just so happen to be based in Bexley
No one has changed their names

Being a local (only about 11 miles from them) I can say I have only heard good things about Circuit motors, when it's anything bmw related it's there I tend to send people.
Personally have not had any dealings with them but know a few who have and it's always been a positive experience.
