Now thats what its all about!!
Unlike some of the meets you go to here.
Everyone just standing around looking at each others cars.
"Thats a nice car"
BORING!!!!
And if someone decides to do something in their car,
Its like "OMG HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO YOUR CAR"
"YOU GOT NO RESPECT FOR E30's"
Its a car, get over it and drive it like its supposed to
Be driven.
SIDEWAYS!!!!!!!!!

That's what I like to see some sideways action, burnouts and donuts
PS
I am sure back in the day the 90s early 00s there were alot more "council" owners on here then when E30 was the chav mobile in vogue.

Bouncing off the rev limiter donuts and burnouts is a great way to look after your car.

The M20B25 is bullet proof well at least that what it said in the Total BMW guide to M20 engines. Can take lots of abuse those engines.bmandy68 wrote:Bouncing off the rev limiter donuts and burnouts is a great way to look after your car.

The M20 engine may be bomb proof but over a period of time this abuse on engine and drivetrain cannot due it anygood ,and i for one would not want to buy a car off anybody who drives like this.

You dont need to be bouncing off the rev limiter or be abusing yourbmandy68 wrote:Bouncing off the rev limiter donuts and burnouts is a great way to look after your car.
Car to do donuts or go sideways!!!
If you know what your doing!
Theres ways of doing things. Do it right and you dont
Need alot of revs.
Do it boy racer style and you need the rev limiter!
Im sure alot of you will agree with that......

All well and good if u want an original example to stick in your museum piece collectionbmandy68 wrote:The M20 engine may be bomb proof but over a period of time this abuse on engine and drivetrain cannot due it anygood ,and i for one would not want to buy a car off anybody who drives like this.
However, for most of the molested scrap out there a new engine is just a few hundred notes.

Yeah I like a bit of sideways action we all done it on here.
And judging by how the PH lot treat Chris Harris like an idol and his recent F40 V F50 video seems like everyone likes a bit of sideways, burnouts, donuts action .... You can take the boy out of Essex but u cannot take the Essex out of the boy.
U havin' a larf ?
Aw rite guv nor ?

I can go sideways round the mini roundabouts I think the correct term is "power oversteer" drift technique. I remember making an AA man laugh. I think he was writing some notes in his van. Next thing he sees some E30 sideways exiting a mini roundabout lol.moggie wrote:i agree,i find it hard to turn a corner without going sideways but very rarely bounce of the limitermng786 wrote:You dont need to be bouncing off the rev limiter or be abusing yourbmandy68 wrote:Bouncing off the rev limiter donuts and burnouts is a great way to look after your car.

Don't want to try any of the other drift techniques on the road as I haven't tried or mastered them.

Might I be so (B)old to suggest that there is a certain element of pious bigotry and self righteousness creeping into the zone? Chalon-sur-saone, Lebanon.......? E30's were sold all over the world. Whose idea of "right", is "right"?

that is nice to see that! how comes nothing like that goes on here? i went ace once on e30 night little while back saw one burnout and everyone looking in disgust at it... was merely static..
however ive now heard theres cameras at ace?
ive spent a fair bit on my car and its not a showpiece, i drive the shit out of it on occasion and cruise it when i feel like it, but yeah talk of stress on drivetrain etc, whats the point in worrying just drive it, its a car its yours everyone to their own im not a stranger to burnouts or drifts and i do like the smell of rubber when the occasion calls for it, if something goes wrong oh well sh*t happens get it home put a brew in the fridge get the spanners out and dig in!
I remember back in 07 used to be absolutely fu*king mad! jap nights at ace i woudnt miss for the world, the atmosphere was crazy the cars that used to turn up there, the people, the buzz, the smoke, smell of rubber while your having a pint!
unfortunately it did get a bit too crazy! but if it was on a industrial estate etc would be cool to see the action again!,
I remember the west london meet as well a couple years back, actually pretty good turnout dont think its been done again?

I went Ace earlier this year
No burnouts
No donuts
But lots of people driving by quite fast for road conditions particularly the motorbikes and cars.
Don't mind seeing it but did make me very edgy as I parked my car very near the entrance of Ace Cafe but within Ace Cafe parking lot.
Other than that I saw a burnout there last year.
I was with the E30 Zone crew. I thought was cool but the Zone crew looked at it in digust.
I guess as long as done in safe manner ie plenty of space from other cars and people is ok.
Problem is there is this whole one up man ship. Everyone takes it up a notch.
I know well I was told there have been a few crashes every now and then when someone crashes into someone car.
