Imy think I have a half decent exhaust hanger kicking about if you need one?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Nah no ghetto 60mm drop with this one, I'd like to keep it OEM as much as I can. I'll probably go 40 front and 60 rear due to the higher arches on the facelift.

M30 turbo is still at the garage getting sorted, it's getting a new loom to work with the MS.

Hoping to get it back end of this month :D

An H&R Cup kit rides nice, quoted as a 60/40 drop and they sit perfect IMO

Managed to take off the last bit of the exhaust today, angle grinder to the rescue

Rear bumper off, Tech 1 valance needs fitting correctly, rust free :)

Just need an exhaust to put back on now.

I've been thinking of putting a Tech 1 front valance on to match the rear one, or should I take the rear one off and keep it original? :?

Boot is pretty tidy, although I think it's been convered in some anti rust seal :?

I told you that mate, there's a pic in the other thread - its the Black Death hammerite with waxoyl underseal, total fooktard for caking the boot in it, sticky horrible mess, he wouldn't of put for no reason I suspect surface rust been coverd up, you need to get rid of it all, I think Brianmooore said somewhere that you use thinners or white spirit or something like that, and a bit of elbow grease and patience and get it all removed

Also hed caked a load around the glove box hinge bracket area, probably over rust, god knows if he's done the whole floor in the shite

Good to see it getting sorted out tho, keep it going

Has the Megasquirt been fitted with the output transistor board to control the ICV?

I'm not sure but got a new one coming tomorrow so hoping that sorts out the problem. I think it is connected to the MS though.

If no luck, then it's up for sale.

Lovely Imy!

+1 for Kos' suggestion, with the dampers, M-technic springs matched to the Boge turbos will be really nice and it shouldn't look like it's on stilts

Fair one, just bin the MS setup, for the sake of a couple of hours and some dollar you can reinstate the Motronic loom and get it running properly :)

That is the next option but don't really want to spending any more on this car at present, money's getting tied up in the M30 Cabby

Probably so but since I've had it it's been nothing but trouble, someone find me the air leak and I wont need to break it :(

It's got parts that I can use on my other cabby rather than buying them, like the brand new roof.

Have you tried configuring the Megasquirt - you can run it in both open and closed loop mode.

I found a MS-equipped Tech 2 Sport ran better in open loop mode, as in closed loop mode it would constantly hunt.

Not tried that, just trying to figure out how it all works, lots of info

Looking at binning the MS and going back to Motronic if it doesn't get broken.

Why not swap the Motronic from your 320i, and pop a 325i chip in the ECU?

Then you could either sell the MS on, or take your time to get it right for the 320i cab...

I'm very tempted too, TAX has just run out too and can't be arsed paying £140 or whatever it is when it's not even driving

I'd like to keep it in once piece with it being an early motorsport and that but it's time is nearly up
