Is your 318i the early M10 engine or the later M40 engine ?
The 325i oil cooler system definately won't fit an M40 318i because the 325i uses a take-off plate sandwhiched between the exhaust side of the engine block and the spin-on oil filter, the M40 has a cartridge filter and it's located on the inlet side near the cylinder head.
