anybody clued up on the bmw e36 323i to 325i inlet manifold conversion?

I have 1999 323i sport tourer auto and have just fitted a 325i inlet manifold as everywhere I read said it was a must do mod

but since fitting It ive lost a lot of power and torque

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

you will loss a little low down grunt when it is done but you should notice a big surge in power beyond 3.5k revs right up to the rev limit.

does the car idle and drive ok other than lack of power?

check for leaks round the inlet manifold by spraying carb cleaner round it and see if the revs jump up and down while spraying.

to get the best from the swap you need to remap the ecu but you shouldn't be down on power so my guess is air leaks.
