A friend of mine is showing interest in it, so wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it.

TIA. Fi

I actually went to see it back in dec/jan - of course, its not really much of a "replica", but it had a heavy hesitation when opening the throttle, and there was a LOT of filler, some rust coming through, as well as some other things i cant remember.. That was over 6 months ago, so id hope all of that has been addressed as its still for sale at the same price. Certainly didnt feel at all rapid either.. defo give it a proper look over and drive. Lovely chap though!

Cheers for that. Can you remember where the rust / filler issues were? I've suggested to my mate that he asks for more photos (scuttle, arches etc) as he's London based and it's a fair way to view a car that turns out to be a sieve. He could add your noted areas to his list.

Hey no probs, luckily i found my notes from when i went to see it! Bear in mind this is from when i saw it, back in the winter, though - might be sorted as he was keen to know what i thought the problems were :thumb:

Engine wise, it has a large hesitation on throttle, is giving out some fumes and also some oil underneath too, and certainly not giving anywhere near it's full output - Prob needs a head overhaul, and new piston rings (bring the compression back up), and it might (might) have a slightly burnt cylinder head valve.
Bodywise, there is a lot of filler and rust to sort, seems like its months from breaking out quite heavily - Worst parts being the arches, underneath, tailgate at the bottom of the glass, front jacking points, and also the black spoiler needs replacing.

.. Like i mentioned though, he was a very open, nice chap, and it had a detailed history and a log of all work done.
