Hi all - I'm having a problem with my windows. They are taking forever to close. Can anyone suggest what I should do? I'm feeling brave  LOL

Could be any one or several of a number of things!

Buggered lift motor
Dirty/sticky/unlubricated guides
Worn linkage, allowing the glass to tilt and stick

What I would do is to remove the door card to expose the gubbins and have a poke around, dismantle the mech to enable you to clean and lubricate the guides and check that the lift motor runs properly.

A rubber lubricant is needed,Vaseline not only stops the kids(use it on the bedroom door handle :D )but should help your window guides.

Right so I managed to work on the cab and put some Vaseline on the mechanisms. It still goes up and down slowly but still not how it should. I should have put some lubricant on the guides but instead I just gave them a clean with some fairy liquid and water 8O

I also found some 3 oil in 1 from when I fixed the blower motor...I used that on the mechanisms as well because it was lying around. Probably won't do anything but oh well.

What should I look to do next? Because they still don't go up and down as they should...also my passenger side window kinda tilts to the right when going down...what could this be?

Thanks again.
