Are all standard front seats compatible with all E30s? for example will leather sport seats from a E30 Cab fit into a touring?
I realise the back seats are different but i've been offered a set of fronts
Cheers Mike

Cabbies all came with sports style seats,two differences between cabbie and saloon/touring;
Stitching runs from side to side(instead of up and down)
The backrest will not recline fully(safety feature in case you decide your cabbie looks better upside down)
Oh.and the backrest will tilt on a cabbie front seat as well!

The tilt handles on a convertible are lower down and the seats don't recline as far.
Also, theres a "stop" screwed into a convertibl;es runner to stop the seat going so far back. To inmprove legroom in the back. I've taken mine out. Fuck the rear passengers!

Hi chaps
I got some recaro ls seats gonna put them in my cabby I believe they were from a e30 coupe, was told I would have to switch the runners to make them fit. Just wondering if that sounds about right or not.
Thanks
Ozzy

Sorry forgive my noobness but I always thought two door cars were called coupes, but essentially the seats came out of a two door car yes.

Then do the same with,say,E36...
If your Recaro seats came from an E30,and they were an option,then they should bolt in just fine.
But bear in mind that these seats were also an option/standard fit in lesser cars such as some Fords,so if they were sourced this way,the runners may not be a direct fit.
