The Bentley manual refers to the removal of 6 bolts which hold the lower drive belt pulley and vibration damper. I can only find three on the face. I have also removed three from the sump which I think may be the other three but need confirmation as I can't budge it.

That's great, cheers Kam. Clearly didn't get my head far enough in.

Seems to me some of the bolts are behind the sprockets, all threads seem to make this look easy, am I missing something??

You trying to remove the part shown in the link?
This doesn't need to be touched to change the timing belt.

Hi Brian, I've got the belt off the cam pulley, but how do I get it over the vibration damper and lower spockets. I've been on this nearly two hours this morning and am on the verge of tears.

Remone six bolts inside the front face of the pulleys and they pull off just leaving the hub with the cambelt sprocket.
It's a tight fit, but the belt will just squeeze through the gap.

Brian, thank you so much, one clear explanation and and I'm away. Only problem I got a little excited and forgot to hold the 22mm nut!!!
It's a learning curve.
Thanks Brian.

Don't turn the crank much with the belt off, or it'll be an expensive learning curve!
