Good move on keeping it mate, you would be kicking yourself if you had let it go! And from what I remember it was dead cheap IMO.

does look sweet - surprised at the reasonable cost involved in these transplants - presumably that includes courcing engine, bits and fitting - looks oe the install - very nice

Okay so I thought I'd better update this!
I've decided to keep the car. The current plans are to go ahead with the 5 stud conversion. This would be consisting of the E36 M3 Evo hub/brake set up for the front and E36 Compact (ti) trailing arm set up for the rear. I would like to have the E30 M3 set up but it is way out my budget. At least with the e36 set up it is relatively cheaper and the benefits are bigger brakes, cheaper coilovers and better choice of wheels. I have bought a 750i brake master cylinder to help with the bigger brakes.
At the same time the plan is to re-bush front which would be new eccentric e30 m3 lollipop bush, new track rod ends, new drop links, convertible 325 anti roll bar, new anti roll bar bushes, adjustable camber/caster top mounts and braided brake lines. For the rear I have new drop links, a anti roll bar as my one doesn't have one, new rear beam bushes, new handbrake cables, new brake shoes, new rear pads and discs, new top mounts and new trailing arm bushes.
I will have my M50 Manifold fitted as that's been lying around for almost a year now. Ordered new seals for this as well.
I have collected all the parts apart from the M50 Manifold within the last 3 weeks and have totted up the cost of over £1500 including my sound install.
That is all for now and also this is now the car I've owned the longest lol!
