Quick one,
The headlamp level adjuster underneath the headlamp swich, for correcting for heavy loads/towing - do I need this to be operational for an MOT? Or do the headlamps just need to be aiming correctly?
Cheers guys.

Headlamps aimed correctly is all that matters. There is a manual adjustment facility where the hydraulic actuator attaches to the headlight.
Your hydraulic headlight levelling is undoubtably dead, like 99.9% of so equipped E30s

Fairly sure myself and many others don't have one? So you could always pull it out?

Yeah that's the plan. It's hanging loose in the passenger footwell right now and I'd rather just bin it.

Only needs to work if you have HIDs fitted. The other option, as mentioned, is to remove it if HIDs are fitted.

As its not self levelling surely its irrelevant hids fitted or not, so long as the lights point where they're supposed to when presented for the test?
