I have done them in a more modern BMW leather colour as i love it and think it will go well with the green of the car and the steering wheel i am running.

C&C welcome.

its a very time consuming job. It has taken me a whole week which i booked off work.

the products i used were all furnature clynic stuff. i bought a full colout change kit but i ended up running out of the the leather prep and aerosol and the alchohol cleaner so ended up buing more.

either i use too much or they dont include enough in the kit to get more money out of you. haha

Its very easy tho and im over the moon with the results.

i do kind of wish i went for a matte sealent rather than a satin one. thought it would be a bit more dull. but i shall see how happy i am once i get them in. :D

Either way, it's a great colour to go with malachite green

I'm going to get some pictures up of them fitted once I have re-trimmed the headliner properly.

So is that a type of filler for the cracks? Is it durable?

The front seats come apart a lot easier than I expected.
I google searches and found a load of great guides. I'm sure there will be a few on here.

The filler used was extra on top of the re-colouring kit and sets very flexible and bonds to the leather. So I am hoping its durable. We shall soon see. :)
It was called heavy filler and is used for holes and rips more than cracks. But I thought it would do the job fine. You can get crack specific filler from furniture clinic tho.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

Headliner re-trim, audio and paint work all to sort out next. Then I'll find more to do

I shall do a write up. But I haven't ever done one before. So should I do it on this post or create a septerate topic in interior detailing or something? I have loads of pics from during the re-do.

I'd create a new post. Looking forward to this as it's a job I've been contemplating too. Learing tricks and ideas on making the job easier would be a great help. :D

Oh, and advice on how much of each product to buy.

Cheers guys.

@ Quaser. Acording to the furnature clynic website using their kit you can dye any colour leather any colour you want. i think it might just take more coats of dye and more time. but its best to check with the people you intend to buy the kit off.

@jon. i love that wheel also. got the wheel and matching shifter knob off a mazda breaker on ebay for a steeeel. :) and the fabric is a lighlty quilted paisley afair from a local fabric shop. You can remove the board and then remove the old material from the board and re-cover it ensuring the new goes on exactly the same way as the old was. then fit it all back in.

Im unsure on that one.

Door cards are all made of leatherete? if thats how you spell it? and if i am correct. And i dont know if you can dye it.

But i have a mint condision set of black door cards in the loft waiting for my new front doors to get painted as the ones that are on are roten around the front.

Nice job, seats look really good in the car.
Headlining is a bit 'marmite', reminds me, I have to still do my sunroof panel.
Black door cards will look good.
