The wee rivet that secures the handle on a 5 ltr tin of cuprinol popped off as I lifted it. Tin fell from 6inches lid popped off when it landed against my dogs cage. My karcher got it out the carpets but unbeknown to me was firing paint particles everywhere.... it was dark when it happend so I thought I had iy sorted till I seen the car the next day.

All my plastics have paint ingrained in them so I may need to dye or spray them... thats another thread as I haveno idea how to fix that either.

cuprinol is water based so it should just wash off with a bit of effort.

if you use G3 on the polisher make sure you apply lots of water and keep it wet .

I would get some Gorilla Wipes

http://www.equiplogistics.com/buy/goril ... tAod5mcAig

or similar from your nearest builders merchant and see if they will take it off then rewax.

Might be best to test a small area first to check there are no nasty surprises in store.

Clay bar kit will most likely shift it as well. Halfords have 3 for 2 on all cleaning stuff this now should be worth while if you need anything else and its a piece of piss to use.

While polishing would get the paint of wouldn't you be creating high spots in the paint doing so? (how ever minor they might be)

Claybar is meant to be good for removing paint/overspray as mentioned above.

Some prick bumped into it today without stopping came back and I have a 2 inch score in my paint right down to the primer. I hope who ever it was gets so constipated they die!
