Where you coming from Adam you been wearing your glasses recently! I love E30 cabs and since selling my motorsport about 7 years ago I've pined for another, you go find me a cheaper/better example and I'll stand corrected!!!!
And the rest, I honestly couldn't understand most of that and gave up, I though someone able to get a drivers license could spell better.smithysmith wrote: ,,,,,,,...... Insert as required.
Anyway, OP, that's strong money so I'd want to make sure it is genuinely solid, nothing worse than dropping loads on a car and having to spend even more fixing hidden horrors.

between 4 to 6 grand depending on condition...adamt93 wrote:What's the diffrence to a normal cabby and a motorsports cabby??
in laymens terms its the convertible version of a 325i sport.. IE it has loads of extras as standard and if its a genuine one all the better
If your wife must learn to drive, don't stand in her way!
I've spoke to the guy selling this its all original and has every mot/fsh loads of receipts there's a couple of minor items that need resolving but nothing major!
I just put it out there to see if anyone either owned it or has seen it in the flesh before I go and view it
Ps the guys a BMW club member also, so looking good so far!

I wouldn't bother imo.
Buy a cab @ about £3k, spend a few bob on it to bring it to your spec and you'll have a car to you liking.
Fook all special about a "Motorsport" cab apart from the door cards and centre console.
All can be done by a trimmer, and not 20 yr old stuff either.

Theses are rare cars with the lotus white leather, and seam them on ebay at 9-10k recently but weather they sold at that price is anyones guess.

Here we go that old chestnut about buy a cheaper one and do stuff to it!
I've been there done that and got the tshirt and it never works out so this time I want to buy one that doesn't need anything doing to it and its ORIGINAL feck this do what you like to it I'm not 20 just starting out and wanting to MOD the car I appreciate them for what they are and love the classic early 90s cars so please stop with the comments of buy cheap and do it up that's not why I started this post!
I've heard it all before the arguments back in 2005 when I joined this site! I've had e30s since I was 18 way back in 1998 so please stop it!

My mate had this car about 10 years ago. Im sure he bought from London The milage on the car when he sold it was 98k (aprox) as the speedo was not working. The reason its missing the original alloys is because it came with Azevs.t11mfn wrote:Im going to arrange to see this car in the week just wondered if anyone had come across it in its life?

Too right!! If someone wants to buy a cheap old shitter and bolt a load of non standard parts to it fine. But ten years down the line it'll still be worth fuck all or more likely be 10% of a whirlpool washing machine!t11mfn wrote:Here we go that old chestnut about buy a cheaper one and do stuff to it!

This will always be worth more money. It'll always be more desirable to those that want one. It'll always be a genuine rare example. And it could be an investment rather than a waste of money.
I think it's priced right and I think the fact you want it original, theres a bit of negotiation (albeit it very small) on the refurb of the wheels to Negaro. The guy knows what he has so be prepared to pay what he wants I reckon.
B7's Motto. "If it's French, BURN IT!!!!!!"
Cheers B7 totally agree and I have had disucssions on price with the guy so I know what I am going to pay for it, little worried about bilal-ali's post about the mileage but the guy selling it is a BMW enthusiast so Im sure he did his homework when he bought it and it comes with a ton of paper work he tells me so we will see.
I originally want a macau blue variant but watching this one over the weeks I think the rarer element of this car makes it a bit more special, so we will see how next weekend pans out when I go see it!

Macau is a funny colour. I hate it but I'm in the minority I know. It's neither blue, purple, grey, or any other colour IMO.
I had one on stands in the workshop earlier this year and a guy asked if it was brown!!!!! Said it all I felt.
Mauritius is a far better colour I think.

I found this post that was up in June but no mention of the condition or anything to do with the car!

ps I have just spoke to the owner and yes the speedo was not working the garage sourced another speedo and replaced it, the milage was near as damn the same so it didnt put him off buying it.
Aparently the guy who sold it to the previous owner got intouch with him a few weeks ago to tell him the same story, sounds good enough for me.
