replace bonnet sound insulation

anyone replaced bonnet sound insulation?

From memory Its approximately £70 for the new insualtion from BMW and i dont thinks its available as a aftermarket part.

You realy need to get the glue from the old one off before fittting the new one or it will fall off again, as happened to mine.

Toyota brake cleaner is supposed to be the best stuff to get the old glue off.

its not rocket science to do but messy and time consuming...if your bonnet is anything like mine you will be spending the best part of an afternoon cleaning of the glue..not plesant.

also i removed the bonnet as its a PITA to do it on the car.
