whats the most likely reason for my rev counter to not work??

got my old sport back recently but rev counter no longer works????
what should I be checking first?

also got earth issues needles jump about when indicating etc
earth points seem clean and ok

lots of little probs to solve sadly

Wiki needs a change. Most common cause of no rev. counter is duff SI batteries, followed by C101 problems, but usually because it hasn't been screwed fully back together, rather than corrosion.

will check out the si batterys asap and it does look like the clocks have been out since I sold it a few years ago
