Hello all . I'm having a major problem with my cooling fan . I have bought a viscous coupling fan and new radiator as my car didn't have these when I bought it . These items was bought from euro car parts . The fan blades keep getting wedged up against the radiator . As if there isn't enough room for the fan to spin . The fan blades are fitted correctly on the viscous but I have a feeling the rad may be for a e36 . Is this possible . The radiator looks quite thick . Help please

Are your engine mounts intact ? If the mounts are shagged this is one cause of the problem you describe.

IIRC E36 Rads have the header tank built in so if the rad is and E36 item it would be obviously wrong when compared to the one you took out.

Have you checked that the bottom of the rad is properly seated ? If so I suspect that they've either given you the wrong rad or the car may have had a frontal impact reducing the space available.
If it ain't broke..
Fix it till it is :)
