Hi there
My diff needs replacement. I can get another but I need to be sure that it fits. I need to order diff today!
I have a 4.1 small case diff in car now. I can get a 3.64 out of a 320i or one out of a 318i. Will it fit?
The diffs are 1200km's away so I can't see them. What should be measured on their side and my side to be compared?
urgent diff question!!!

All E30 diffs have the same fitting, regardless of which E30 they are on.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

What about the propshaft length? If I change from small to large case will I need to get another propshaft?

no just shorten the one you have - its adjustable at the centre joint

Got the 4.1:1 diff out and 3.64:1 in.
Swap was easy peasy
The 3.64 mated with my 2.3L engine works like a dream. This was a great swop!
