I Have recently brought myself a 316 with an M10 engine and its only my second car, this means that servicing is new to me. I understand that its an older engine to its a lot easier to service compared to others so want to do it myself.. After all you need to learn one day.

Just want to know what i should be checking, how often i should be changing things etc

cheers

If you have just bought it then do a full service as piece of mind unless you can guarantee the last service.

Oil
Oil filter
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs

and then the likes of

Diff oil
Gearbox oil
Brake fluid change
Collant flush

etc etc.

Sit down with a cuppa or beer this time of night, and read through the articles in the e30 zone wiki. Plenty reading and plenty advise for beginners.

We all have to start somewhere with e30 ownership and here is a great place to ask loads of silly questions.
