Hi. Ive had a problem with my central locking. When i put the key into the drivers side to open the doors, only the drivers side opens. I cannot open the passengers side at all. Not even from the inside or even with putting the key into the passenger side. The boot opens fine. Do i need a new actuator?

Although not a fix to your issue, you may be able to open the passenger side door by turning the key slightly in the lock and pulling the handle. Careful though it won't be properly unlocked. On mine I can get it to unlock b switching the ignition on (no need to start) and pulling up the driver's side lock pin.
Only way I can get into my car until I fix the C/L

Milescook - it does work that way too
Grrrmachine - i have had a read on that. But i cannot open the door card because the passeners side door pin is down. So theres no way of unscrewing it...

"To sort it out you need to get the door card off, and that's quite tricky to do without being able to open the door. Some will recommend removing the seat on that side so that you've got more work space, but here's how to get the cards off. (http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... _Door_Card)"
I've had this on my own car - it's possible to do.

Ive read that. But the first step is to unscrew the pin. I cannot do that as its shut. So the pin is down nt up

And why is that stopping you from unscrewing the pin?

Unless you have a very late E30, the two 7mm screws securing the lock motor are only a couple of inches inside of the rear edge of the door card, about half way up.
Remove the arm rest/pull and pop the card buttons from the bottom corner up, and you should be able to get at the screws to unscrew them. Once the motor is hanging loose, the button should pull up.
