Bilt Hamber stuff is generally highly regarded, particularly among the classic Mini fraternity - no doubt, pacerpete will have something to say about that!

I've always used Waxoyl, and it seems to work pretty well - my 1970 car has survived 43 years and 150,000+ miles with a few doses of it, used in all weathers.

Check the carb for an idle control, or fuel cut-off valve; some of them have an ignition-controlled +12V that must be applied else it cuts the fuel off.
Alternatively, there may be some crud in the idle jet of the carb - remove the lid, remove the jet(s), and use carb cleaner to blow through all the passages.

That could well be a leak - check the gaskets around the oil filter and sump.
Also check all the crankcase breather hoses are clear; if they are blocked, back-pressure may be forcing the oil out somewhere.

Do a bounce test on each corner of the car sat on level ground - the car should rebound and settle on the first bounce.
If they do, then they are probably OK.

You definitely know your stuff mate, ill give it a go. Would lowering it 30mm not put more strain on anything?

Lowering it may put a little extra strain on the rear driveshafts and CV joints, because they will be operating through a different angle.
Also, because there is less roll in corners and a lower centre of gravity, you will probably be going around corners a little faster than you otherwise would, which will put more strain on steering items and tyres. It really all depends on how you drive it...

Noticed how big the arch gap is on these earlier! Talking to someone about lowering springs so hopefully he sells them. I Will be taking care of it to be honest, im more than happy to go 1mph over speedbumps!
Also, the front drivers arch has a parking dent in it, would it be worth getting this fixed and repainted or buying a whole new panel? Now sure how common the wine read is.. The panel has a few chips anyway so would need a respray.
