a while back when talking to a mate who has done the swap, I was recommended to use a mk2 clio servo, Another friend had a mk2 golf servo in his garage at the time i was browsing which i read was used in a build on here anyways i painted it up and put it to one side to fit when the car was sprayed and I came to fit it today but realised it fowls a couple of brake lines, when put together the original e30 servo (on the left) has a square recess which sits it off the firewall enough for the brake pipe to squeeze behind.. while the golf servo is pretty much flat.
Both the servo's are identical bolt wise so if i made some sort of spacer I'm sure i could get it to work, BUT my question is.. Does the mk2 clio fit in as a direct replacement in this case?
I've noticed they are not alot to buy brand new and to be honest if its going to save me alot of hassle i'd rather buy new than fit another 20 year old servo with aggro!
any advise would be appreciated!
