Could someone take a picture of the structure. I.E. bars underneath their hood and post on here for me?

My old mans new motor is confusing the hell out of us.

Note that this is a manual roof,I think power roofs have a slightly different frame.
The tension straps should push the fabric into the correct folds as the roof is folded, most do not, they can be adjusted by crimping them with a pair of large waterpump pliers.
Manual roof should be light and easy to operate, lubricate all piviots until it is.The final test with mine was to get 'er indoors to operate the hood without help.

OE or not, the OBC is a simple plug in package. If it worked in its original home, it should work in the new.

With the roof part folded, the tension straps should start to concertina into the hood fabric,it's usually between the header rail and the first two roof bows that need adjusting as the tension straps hang out of the hood rather than folding correctly with it.You need to decide which way the strap should fold, then encourage it by crimping.
Once the manual hood is set up correctly,it should be an almost one-handed job to stow/erect.

Fix mine please...I don't fully understand what you mean and mine involves loads of hassle. :(

Might take a look at the weekend actually as I need to work on other parts of the car. :)
