Well I've been struggling with this for a few weeks now. And wasted £240 because of it.

I have no idea what I am doing here whatsoever! I have a bit of a mix match on just now. Love ring springs with 325 front shocks and bilstein rears. Thinking I was doing well I got a set of ProSport "coilovers" (using the term very lightly). Turns out there just an adjustable set of lowering springs.

Is it possible to get a set of coilovers that doesn't require welding the new strut to the bottom of the hub. (Like RPM do for you)

I have been looking at BC coilovers

Also these PB coilovers.

And the Gaz GH ones on the RPM trader section. Which offer the welding service.

I suppose my question is. What u got??? Has anyone fitted the BC or PB coilovers I've linked? And how did they fit? I'm mega confused. :)

Once you add in the shock absorber, that's pretty much exactly what coilovers are.

No. It's the solid mounting of the strut that gives the coilover its advantage over usual spring/shock combos.

What you need to ask is, why do you want coilovers? Is it because all the VW scum are buying them, or is it because you want to take the car on some serious track days?

all coil overs are welded at some point in the making rpm do not weld them for you they just sell gaz coilovers and take an old set so gaz can do another set
ive got a set of gaz on mine and cant fault them i love them i dont do track days and i dont use the car all the time but putting power down was my concern and they do it pretty dam well
