Hello all,
Hope someone can answer this pretty simple question for me.
I'm thinking of replacing my OBC with the analogue clock as the OBC's screen is wrecked (still works just cant see anything).
Obviously the power to my OBC is fine. But will it be the same connection in the back of the clock? So can I simply remove the OBC and chuck in the analogue clock?
Cheers
Peg

IIRC doing this the other way around clock for OBC works just fine but you wont get the temp read out without the sensor so cant see why you cant swap an OBC for a clock

i'm talking about the 6 button OBC here not the 13 button, you can get the screen fixed on the OBC's you know

In the area behind the OBC/clock you should find a suitable harness plug hanging around just waiting to be plugged into the back of the clock.

Expanding on the above a little, all E30s are fitted with a power plug for an analogue clock.
The OBC option uses its own loom, which draws power from a socket on the back of the instrument cluster, so when this is fitted, the original clock plug is just left hanging unused.
Your OBC loom, complete with indicator stalk, gong, ext. temp sensor, horn, relay box, etc. has some second hand value.
