These ones here.........

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271173335534? ... 1423.l2649

I know they are cheap as chips and you get what you pay for but how bad are they really?

Surely they can't be any worse than the 24 year old worn suspension i currently have?

The reason i want coil overs is so when i am feeling a bit chav tastic i can wind them right down but for normal everyday use i can have a sensible ride height.

Dont care if they dont handle that well as i cruise around slowy these days anyway

Anyone fitted these and give me a first hand review of them?

The only thing worse than a convertible on foooked standard suspension is a convertible on coiloverz. I know your car is a bit of a hound but this will make it truly rubbish.

£225 will buy a lot of good quality replacement parts. Cut a coil off the front springs and spend the money replacing / upgrading what is worn / sh4gged. Your car will drive properly and when it comes to sale time, your victim pool won't solely consist of penniless council scummers.

As always Pete hit the nail on the head.

Also the shitty dampers will fail in no time at all.

Points noted but i kinda gathered that all ready, i was hoping for someone to come along and say "yeah i got a set, they are truely crap" to completly get the idea out of my head.

looks like i'll go back to the trusted B4's and eibach set up

I bought a set. They are crap. Saved up the extra and bought a set of Gaz.

The way the spring is conical means you have to use OEM spring cups and top mounts, meaning you can't switch to camber plates. You also have to cut the lower spring perch off the struts, otherwise you can't adjust them with the spring in place. Terrible design.

I'm sure that wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but HTH nonetheless.
