I recieved my alpina reps with tyres yesterday! However I cannot fit them on!

Wheels came with spacers and spigot rings....I need advice on what to do to get the wheels on!

I attempted it without the spacers and rings and the wheel bolts will not match up with the holes on the hub.....

After speaking to the place I bought them from they assure me that they are the coorect wheels and I need to fits both the spigot rings and spacers for them to fit on......

How do i go about this please

Ok, dumb question first, they have sent you 4 stud e30 wheels and not 5 stud e36 wheels yeah?

Assuming they are 4 stud, and no-ones done a crafty e30 M3 5-stud conversion on you car they should be straightforward to fit.

The spigot rings push into the centre bore of the back-face of the wheels, some have snap rings to stop them falling out, so you might need a bit of wd40 and a rubber mallet to get it sitting in there properly. The spigot ring must be below or flush with the surface of the wheel that sits against the hub, thus allowing the wheel to sit square to the hub.

If you've got hub-centric spacers just sit these on the hub and rotate until the holes in the spacer line up with the holes in the hub.

Next position the wheel ready to go on the spacer and roughly line up the bolt holes. stick the wheel on, and assuming all the holes line up you should be able to stick the wheel bolts in.

If you don't have hub-centric spacers you'll probably have to jiggle the spacer about once the wheels on to get all the bolt holes to line up.

I'm guessing you're just have problems lining the holes in the wheels up with the holes in the spacer then lining them up with the holes in the hub!

Hope this helps.

If you still get stuck, take some pics and post them up, i'm sure someone can help.
