Hi guys
Not long finished an auto to manual conversion. Now finding in neutral, 2nd and 4th the linkage is rubbing on the prop.
It was one car to another I've had a good look but can't see what I've done wrong.
Any help or ideas would be great.

What exactly did you swap from the old car to the new, and what engine/gearbox/prop/diff are we talking about here?

Old school. If you look at the prop, the end that's closest to the bottom of the photo has two parts; the thick rubber guibo that bolts to the gearbox, and an even bigger balancer weight. You're probably finding that the shifter bar is hitting against that.
Two solutions. One is to remove the balancer weight since it's really not needed, and the other is to refresh all the shifter bushes; specifically no's 2, 8 and 13 in this pic

[quote="KJF8S"] Off it comes if its not needed.

It's totally not needed. It's a 'left over' from earlier designs of guibo, and any guibo that is on there now does not need it.

Fantastic. Thanks for all the quick replies. I searched for a bit but couldn't find anything.Brianmoooore wrote:KJF8S wrote: Off it comes if its not needed.
