Hello, I need some help here ASAP.

I have removed the sunroof steel panel to paint it and I can't get the headlining panel to fit back in, I am really struggling there are two rods that clip onto another bar but not sure if there is a trick to it or a technique.

Please help needed!

That was very helpful guide however. It doesn't really explain the head liner too well and it's the head line that fixes up to the sunroof itself I can't get back in

The bar that is attached by the two rods is the sliding water gutter that collects rain water that gets past the rear edge of the roof seal when it is closed. check that it isn't rusty at the ends and about to fall off, as you will get water into the cabin without it.
The liner can be a bit tricky to get back into place, but there's no real technique that I can think of.
Is the liner completely out of the car, or just slid back out of the way?

I'll admit, I haven't found a solution to this either. The sliding gutter came off the rails for me and I can't work out how to get it back on without it jamming somewhere. Because of that, I can't clip on the tiny metal strips at the back of the sunroof headliner, and therefore can't pull the liner into its clips at the front edge of the sunroof panel.

It really is a ballache of a design :(

Lift the rear of the liner panel as you slide it forward

I did it a while ago so can't remember exactly how its done but from memory you need to start with the metal panel off the car and liner slid back into the roof.

Fit the panel in the raised position, then close it.

Now you can pull the liner forward holding it up so it catches the guides, you might need to run the roof back a little but then you can push the clips in along the front edge.

Its s bit if a nightmare to do, but Once its attached and slides along in place properly and doesn't come out on either side and sunroof raised at the back- you then lift up the rear of the lining panel and push the runners on

I used this guide
