Anyone ever done it and what do you need? Also how difficult is it to do?

Why not stick with the electric set up?
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

It's not very healthy and apparently they are expensive to maintain.bab-91 wrote:Why not stick with the electric set up?

Give this a go.

Seems like a shame to remove a spec from the car.

The motors need re syncing as the previous owner removed most of the mechanism.bab-91 wrote:Give this a go.

does the horseshoe work electrically? If so the most straight forward conversion is to wire that up through an old leccy window switch and some relays and remove the roof motors and raise that manually. I did mine for around £25, but that included making it child proof.

It does. That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Cheers mate.stew72 wrote:does the horseshoe work electrically? I installed the switch in the passengers side rear quarter panel where the manual lever would go. As I have kids I then wired the relays to earth through the passengers door courtesy light switch and the header rail micro switch so that the horseshoe can only be raised with a door open and the roof released from the header rail.scjimbo wrote:It does.
