I don't think its to convert drum to disc - but even so, im more interested in the twin caliper setup

Its so you can run a hydraulic hand brake to a full set of calipers, by all accounts the "wrong" way to go about initiating a drift.

Ahh - that's a bit crap.
So is there anything bolt that I can get to upgrade my front/rear brakes and still fit under the 15" bbs's?

"Cheap brakes" is an oxymoron.

ok - changed the title of the thread, as I just missed out on the wilwoods for sale on here earlier today -
ive been reading about brake upgrades, and a few sites have suggested the mazda rx7 4 pots with corrado 280mm discs - theres a guy in America doing refurbed mazda 4 pots, with the adaptors, bolts and delivery for $360 - anyone on here done anything like this?

I have drums on my 316, and have ordered a fresh brake cylinder set and spring kit, so will put off conversion to later. Will have to change the arms and a whole bunch of things i guess.

In excess of £1200 for the lot when I bought them 1.5 - 2 years ago.Quaser wrote:how much are they?Duke137 wrote:WMS brakes are epic, I have all four corners and they too much for the road
Here a couple of snaps of the rears:

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
thanks for the pics - i see that no carrier is needed for the rears, will try and find something that fits
Im gonna try to get an upgraded brake setup for around £600-£750 i think.
the front rx7 caliper kit works out to around £250 for refurbed caliper kit with pads & delivery, £70 for front discs, £90 for the braided lines, and maybe e30 m3 rears with bigger discs for now, until i find a rear 2 pot kit, and a e32 master cylinder - should have me stopping much better then i do now

For a road car Quaser the rears are overkill, seriously. If you had WMS up front, that would be within your budget. You could use E30 Touring rear calipers, as the WMS System is only 0.3% bigger apparently but in fairness a good clean down on the Cabby rear set up and jobs jobbed.
I find my cars braking very off/on but there has been zero brake fade on mine with a bit of spirited road use.
Failing that DanThe maybe able to offer a bracket set up for 540i brakes like his Chromie has for smaller budget but I am not sure about the minimum wheel size?
The WMS is bolt in, fits under 15" BBS, tried and tested and within budget. Seriously, fire a PM to Keri? He can be slow to respond sometimes but he is a good guy.
The fact these slot under BBS 15" is one of the main reasons I went for the WMS variant.
