I suppose as a trader a sale is not a sale until the cash is in your hand and the lucky new owner drives away into the distance.

Karl. I have pm after pm after pm. The last champing at the bit mentioning vans to collect and if I was definitely going to be at the workshop. Asking about warranties and that rob would be doing all the work. I made a point of confirming it was a high comp two days prior to the Saturday. And you did as you normally do and disappear with no follow up to explain.
All I'm saying is that people go out of their way to assist and spend hours in front of a screen explaining and describing and trying to appease people. Time that comes at a premium.
I hope your engine works out ok for you.

i dont wish to argue trev, but feel free to show me the pm saying id be comming up to get it, you said you could not let me know until saturday if it was a high comp or not, i saw your pm yesterday (sunday) after being away for a couple of nights, that you sent on thursday saying it was a high comp, i have at no point said il definatly buy it neither have i to come up the weekend and you know that, feel free to show otherwise , like a sent pm to me with an address details where to go and a number, or one from me saying whe id be there, asking for address/directions....
play fair trev, dont try make me look like a coont here, ive said nothing of the sort and you know it

here you go trying to make me look bad, full pm conversation, 4 sent pms from myself, hardly pm after pm chomping at the bit to come get it, no mention of me definatly saying il take it, or be up top collect it, and no time wasting
so after my last pm, and no reply (like for instance one saying i can confirm on thursday) , i went away for a couple of days, expecting a conformation on saturday, that i would see on my return yesterday
i had at no point said il take it, ask for any address. or wasted your time or in any way stiched you up, and if you chose to confirm on the thursday instead of the saturday like you said- that was your lookout not mine

It will be a high comp I'm sure.
Cheers
Then he's going to rebuild the other lump and wel do something a bit special with it to make it all better and worth in the long run
Il speak to him tomorrow , you say sat youl be there ? I need to work out how I'm gonna pick one one up etc need a van
When can you confirm its a high comp ? Not till sat or before ?
To advise. I do now have another guy on it but its first come first served as I said.

I'll keep an eye on this thread if it gets out of hand. Karl, Trev, if you want to discuss sales then I suggest you do it via PM rather than airing your laundry in public.

fully agree, i know you or anyone else due to the clique mentality, are not going to say anything untoward against trev, but the fact is hes tried to pull a bit of a stunt and publicly claim im some sort of stich up time waster whos said im comming to buy it and let him down and tried to make me look like a coont...when ive done nothing of the sort, and the proof is there for all to see
same as i spoke to pete, had a conversation with him about his engine, he said i cant get it out for 2 or 3 weeks, i said ok cool thanks for the info and chat, il ponder options and be in touch if need be,he said no problem just let me know
play fair trev, there was simply no need for it

Back on topic , if it were me I would still do an engine swap to get the car on the road, then strip down the original lump slow time and take things from there.
