About to upgrade my suspension/ brakes to 325i rear disc and vented fronts.
I have the set up and have stripped everything down and rebuilt it, I have a nice set of 6 braided hoses on their way to me so sorted for pipes.
Are the drum handbrake cables the same as disc and is there anything else I could do while Im doing the change over?

Sorry the cables are different for discs but they are cheapish about a tenner each from ecp.
Be wary when you go to assemble your hubs again with the two locking pins either side, that fit throuhh the back plate, the plates can be so corroded that the pins when replaced won't hold properly. if this happens its a bit of a show stopper. However. You can either get new backing plates which means taking off the hub bearings-major faff and needs new bearings to go back on. Or you can get cheap washers but with indentations in tjem to go onto your plates. Search backing plate in this forum for them if your backing plates are in rag order.
Should add there is now a how to guide dor replacig handbrake cables in the wiki

Cheers mate, they have just had new backing plates and bearings etc just before I bought them.
You are right , cables are 11 quid from ECP so on my list with my 535i engine mounts for next week.
Was going to go for goodridge hoses but saw set on ebay (item 121134330159)
Seem decent but will see when they arrive.
