I have the original stereo in my car. It's a slide out pioneer unit with handle an all. I'd like to install an aftermarket unit to play some of those new fangled compact discs.

Question is can I get an adaptor so the new stereo fits by sliding/plugging in like the original. Or will I need to cut the wires and fit an iso connector?

The ones I've seen aren't fixed if you know what I mean. My current head unit slides in and plugs into the cage. You can take the whole stereo with you 80s style.

Ta very much. I thought as much. I'll try to retain as much as I can so I can return to factory spec if needed.
