There's one of those local to me, but all matte black and ratty looking - it looks seriously bad-ass!

I owned that very car twenty years ago. I sold it at the Lakeside cruise back in the day when the 'cruise' took over Tescos car park and everywhere else.
The car was involved in some 'rinkiness' later on down the line but I see it still lives on

That white Hudson has ruined a very rare car
As I get older I realize that you can't please everyone - pissing everybody off is however a piece of cake

Good to hear that, Peter, 'rinkiness' aside, whatever that refers to...

What was it like to drive?

As with most yanks, IF they are well maintained and have a decent set of shocks and tyres they drive well, albeit not a sports car , but not a lumbering pig like a Cambridge or most other pedestrian British cars of the era.

How dare you knock the Austin Cambridge Sports, aka., MGB - well regarded as the most sophisticated, best-handling, least rust-prone car ever!
