What happened to the sticky that used to be at the top of this forum? It had all the different combos that has worked for others.
I was going to use the m42 box, but think I have decided to go with the m52 5 speed box and thought it had mentioned something needing to be done to the gear selector rods. What prop and what ratio diff do I need?

Gear selector is just the E36 one works fine

My donor was a Touring 328i
Why are they all different then from coupe to the touring 328i ?

theres no difference in the fitting except a little modifying to the inside of the sump and deleting the ews from the obdII on the m52
