wondering if these actually differ from the standard HT leads on a 325i...
is there any point in changing the standard ones to these performance type one, if so which ones are recommended?

The answer is no. Standard ones are superior to almost any aftermarket tat.

They don't have a CID sensor either, which BMW must have put there for a reason!
