Getting ready to fit aircon, and need a new radiator. I'm not going to order one from BMW, but there's too much choice from the aftermarket ones.
Part of the issue is size. I'm seeing rads 440mm wide and others around 530mm wide. For aircon I presume the larger is needed, right? Has anyone got a part number, because bmwinfo lists 5 different rads...

There are six different rads. listed, but you can discount half of them, depending on whether you need the oil/water heat exchanger for an auto transmission or not.
That leaves three: The 'ordinary' 440mm wide one, the 'tropical' 550mm one, and the aircon one.
You can fit most BMW rads. into an E30 by playing around with various combinations of 6 and 7 and a modified or custom 9

Thanks Brian. It seems the tropical is 20mm wider than the aircon one, but the heights are the same and they use the same plastic mounts on the chassis rails, so there's no real issue.
There's dozens of 30-quid cheapies over here, but I want a decent brand like Nissens and Hella and all the motor factors are showing "no stock"
