my 318is review

Hmm so it sounds like mine could be underperforming. I might try and get a video clip and then you can judge better.
E30Mark - what happened to your last engine? A chain problem?
Edit - I've just had a look on Brendan's page (which no true iS devotee will have any trouble finding) and there's a 0-100 video :
http://www.esatclear.ie/~bpurcell/0to100mph.avi which shows his well maintained example going about as well as my well maintained example.
What does this mean? That I've got overly used to the power, I guess. Maybe E30Mark is having this problem too, except with the added psychologies of it being an altogether different car.

I am running two IS's which have 120,000 and 140,000 miles. Both cars feel about the same drive but it is difficult to compare without having a drag race between the two (there's an idea!).
I have done most of the 120,000 miles on my main car and to be honest it is starting to feel like it has lost an edge to the performance which was there years ago but i cant complain - I think it is just a general mix of rose tinted spec syndrome and wear and tear.

he has 3 lazer blue ones now i think....japcarkiller should be able to confirm this?
Readin stuff like this gets me all angry.
I bid on a lazer blue iS a while back on ebay, so i bid on it, and had my bids cancelled cos i had no feedback, so i sent a message to the guy saying i didnt have any feedback cos i had only recently joined the site and i had only really joined to buy one of these cars.
So assuming he had read my message and was now allowing me to bid, i set my maximum bid to 950 and went out cos i 'had' to see me missus.
Got back and found car was sold but not to me, and my bids had been cancelled again, but i also had a message from the guy apologising and saying that he's just read my message and i could now bid. But i was out so i couldnt!
The car was sold for Ԛ£943, spose thatll teach me for giving in to my girlfriend.

What did the larger throttlebody come off,or is it a special made item?japcarkiller wrote:a mate of mine drives a 318is. he's gone for a big bore throttle body, full stainless zorst with manifold from blueflame. sounds sweet. he's lowered it and i think he's added m3 control arms or something. i'm not sure if he's added a zone chip as well.
