Whilst thumbing through my owners manual i noticed the obc has a code
Imobiliser function.
How reliable is this?
I,m reluctant to enter a code and end up with a car that never works again.

if you disconnect the battery you have to reset the whole thing so i'd imagine the immob part works the same :?

The OBC immobiliser is 100% reliable - just pick any four number code to set it, and use the same numbers to unset it. Doesn't have to be the same numbers the next time.
As Magpie suggests though, simply disconnecting the OBC from the battery will also unset it.

Did you connect it up to the immobiliser socket? (Plug with green and green/red wires into socket with two green wires.)

I had no idea the 13 button obc had that function! 8)
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

Beware when using it! My misses used it and thought she tapped (same as always) a particular number in, she made a mistake and had to call the AA out to disconnect the battery for 10 mins to clear it. She never made that mistake again!

that's why the full kit comes with a separate horn and an anti-tamper cage .

I'm yet to find the obc horn :(

Anti-tamper cage? I don't think I have one of them. Anyone any pictures?

also check the obc relay box thing ? the burnt out pin in the green socket, which they do have problems with, people do leave out the imobiliser function due to it, from what i gather it puts too much power through the socket and can burn out that pin , if ive got that right ?
