hello guys im doing an m50 swap on my old m40'd 316i and as far as box, prop and diff what have you guys found to be the better combination?
when i bought the non vanos m50 lump the bloke threw in a getrag e36 box and dual mass flywheel... ideally i'd like to keep costs from heading skyward but what would you do?
would need to buy new clutch kit and slave cylinder as both are missing.. or would i be better off sourcing an e30 box?

the 316 was equipped with a getrag box.. i can find part numbers later on along with the usual smallcase open diff.

I'm not hugely familiar with bmw's and maybe have taken on a bigger job than i should have but either way this bad boys going in..

any input would be appreciated :)
