So, what should I do about my rear arches?

Those of you who have read my build thread (Motorsport/Trackday) will already know what I'm on about. For those who havn't: Some time ago (3 years ish) I had my rear arches flared and the corrosion sorted (new arch lips etc) before having the car resprayed. The car has remained off the road since as I've been building it up, but now the time has come to sort them out.

Basically, they flared the arch by cutting, pulling and welding in fresh metal. The whole shell was resprayed and there is no corrosion to worry about. However, they rolled half of the arch lip (on both sides) and left the other half unrolled. So I went about rolling the arches and hey presto, the filler skim cracked on the lip. Out of view, but annoying. There are 'breaks' in the lip too, where I thought it should be welded. Meaning it won't roll smoothly. So my options are:

1 (Bodge): Roll the sh*t out of it all the way round and not worry about cracking the remaining skim. Sand it all down taking off the cracked filler, seam seal, re-fill to a smooth seam, stonechip.

2 (Better): As above, but leave unfinished. Take to a bodyshop to get them to tack-weld up the breaks in the lip so it's one piece and spray properly.

Either way, the arches need to be rolled BEFORE I drive the car for its first MOT due to wheel clearance.

There are pros and cons to both; the first being easy for me to do myself, but a bit pikey and I know it will bother me in the long run. The second will be expensive but I know it will have been done properly. Not sure of the best course of action - bearing in mind it is just a 'track slag' too!
