Ah yes I was thinking about dropping by in the afternoon. I won't be in the E30 though, tax is due so I'm going to SORN it for a month whilst I do some tinkering.

Keep an eye on the meets section, Joey. 'll set one up soon if noone else does.
Hope you're going to the German show too.

Some new ideas would be good too and maybe try something different aswell as the Sunday morning hill one too , people got kids etc too and do things weekend , an evening meet in the week might be a good idea to try over the summer maybe every 2 weeks for an hour or 2 one eve and a more regular meet and drive to different locations could be fun ? 7.30pm on a boring midweek night and get some fun in
Who would be up for that ?

The 16th is the Liphook classic car day at the Deers Hut pub. A great show, it's all free and well laid back. Worth the trip up the A3 if you fancy it.
there's no web site so the details are:
come off the A3 at the Griggs Green exit and follow the really obvious signs - its only 500m from the A3
Starts at 10am
no need to book or pay or anything , just turn up and park

SWEET! Car passed MOT and now taxed as well. I NEED to take it out for a decent drive!
I like the idea of joining jimbom30cab for the Liphook show or for Portsdown Hill, is this worth a new thread to see who want to come along...or just wait and see what the weather decides to do and hope it does not rain?!

The Deers Hut is just off the A3 south of Hindhead. Take the "Griggs Green" turn off just after the Shell Garage

might do as the cabbie has no suspension at the moment.
when you get to the parking area (field by the pub) there should be plenty of opportunity to park all together, it really is a local village turn up and chat type of show.
worst case - people would be more than happy to move if we wanted to park together.
hope the weather is ok
just to let people know who have been here before, the pub was re-furbished recently with new owners and surprise surprise it has gone all posh, all throws and soft cushions, the sticky carpet and brass table tops have all gone. unfortunately the prices have gone up also and the atmosphere is all but gone. its a nice place but more "gin and jags" than "ale and woodbines"
way of the world these days
see you there

Hey guys,
As a local Newbie, I might come along. The car could do with a run out before I drive it Italy next week!
