This looks a bit cheap! Any thoughts from our expert panel?

Looks just the job to go between my boss and wheel. Getting in and out is a pain in the tits, not helped by my earerd seat :(

I personally dont suffer from getting in and out, and as a result just dont see the point.

Save your money and keep the weight down to an absolute minimum.

Yeah but to be fair, I am a bit more lardy than you fella ;) Plus I could save that weight by missing a meal....

For extra info if anyone hasn't seen my build, I have two large door bars plus an eared seat. Getting out in the mandatory escape time or just because I don't want to sit in a potential fire pit, can only be a good thing :(

Same here :( However, be certain of the quality. I bought one (don't know if it was this model) and it was hopeless. I returned it as unfit for purpose (lots of shake and wobble - not me either!) which is exactly what you don't need on track. I eventually got one of these http://www.driftworks.com/driftworks-60 ... pacer.html and it has been brilliant.

Looks like the one I have and mine is questionable. Have removed it and will be buying a proper one when the time comes.

It just has loads of play in it, the steering wheel was not solid.

Andrew's point about getting what you pay for is usually pretty fair. However, in the world of (sodding) expensive and inflated prices for anything related to motorsport, if enough people with first hand experience can vouch for a bit of kit then that sells to me rather than the price sticker :D

The issue with prices is the markup all the resellers have come accustomed to. You need to factor that in when looking at products, you soon realise how much the part has actually cost to manufacture, including the material costs and labour.

I just don't feel comfortable with buying such a critical part so cheaply.

But thats me.

Agreed, buying something that holds your steering wheel on, you want to buy something that isn't going to break/bend.

The one they use on Porsche GT3 cup cars are very good quality IMO but couldn't tell you the make of them.

I have a disability and like the extra room I get. I use the Sparco item and found it to be good quality. Just be careful you don't buy a snide copy in error though, as Andrew said, it's a critical part and not worth cutting corners on.
