decided to stripp the back of the e30 out today and was really shocked but very happy at what i found...

found a small amount of rot, but so insignificant im not even freting.!

first thing that took me by suprise was this....

and the other side...

the overall condition of the old girl is frankly epic shell wise.. not even a hint of bubble in the places you would expect,, bulkhead (both sides), roof, arches ect ect..
just this,,

the trained eye will know exactly what these are and where they come from...
quite why they put these round plates in the rear footwells i dont know.!!
but upon removing these, and scratching n scraping at the remaining metal of the rear footwells the metal is shiny and fresh.
there is also a tiny whole (about a 20 pence piece) in the front drivers side footwell but im not worried about that. its minimal.!

so, 2 plates welded in the rear footwells, and a tiny one in the front. cut the rear valance away completly and fit tech 2 bumper over the top and she will be mint

im well happy to be fair, shes 24 in less than 2 months and ive seen worse condition cars half her age

:D :D

i was going to strip it, keep certain bits, sell others and then scrap it..

but since having the car at mine i just cant do it 8O

so, the plan is, to buy a 325 motor,, ETA it and use on a 4.10 welder until i can fund MORRRRREEEEE haha

should go pretty well all stripped out :D
