Hi

Can someone please send me a copy of the wiring for the 2 speed fan - my conversion has a danthe 2 speed loom, but the guy who removed and helped to fit it to my car said that it should go in a certain spare fuse hole but in my car its blanked off!

Car overheats unless the fan is left on constantly - is this correct?

If you get him to check his emails he might still have the original instructions, the wires could be any colour so you cant just go off anything, if you have a continuity tester I can help you sort out whats what if needed

this is the fusebox - the high speed fan wiring is connected in between the 30 and 15amp fuses on the right (there is no fuse in the pic) - he said that it should go below the 10 amp fuse on the right but there is no connection going there, and the hole on the right is blocked - do I need to make a hole there?

It wont work in that fuse space, needs to come out again. Should be in fuse 18

ok - its supposed to go where the 10amp fuse is - I just checked it and it is indeed a blank - so ive swapped over the wiring and will test it tomorrow - thanks for your help.

also, where was the low speed supposed to connect to?

Ok - just tested it out - needle rises to 3/4 then fan cuts in - is that not a little too high??

also, fan seems to blow out the air towards the front of the car (grill) - is this correct or should it be blowing through the rad?

I find it strange as it would be blowing out and wind coming in when you are driving!

The fan should be blowing through the radiator(swap fan power supply wires around to have it rotate in the opposite direction). That could explain the 3/4 temp reading as the lower fan speed isn't very audible depending on the fan type and at slow speed it might not be 'drawing' enough air through, or you could have the wrong fan switch on the rad. Also do you have the correct temp sender for the e30 clocks?

Don't know about the sender - might change it anyway - wat part do I need and where does it go??

The temp sender for the clocks is the brown temp sender that should have been swapped over from the m20 if I remember correctly.... I'm sure someone will be along to confirm soon
