Are you just replacing a busted pump, if so no just bleed the rack after you have finished basically fill up with pas fluid and cycle the rack from lock to lock a few times to get rid of it. If changing from manual to power steering than probably a good idea to get it tracked.

I'd try getting out as much of the old fluid as possible, fit a now pump or a known good one with fresh fluid and you should be good

A recon pump won't be cheap prob a few hundred but you usually get a 2yr warenty, a second hand one may be a lot cheaper but may not be much better than the one you have, I'll leave it up to you to decide there will prob be a reputable sell or on here that can sort you a good one though.

If you have changed wishbones and bushes, tracking is definitely required.
Should be no 'play' whatsoever. This is a BMW, not some mass market scrap.
You will need to change the fluid more than once if it's discoloured. Three times should flush out most of the old stuff.

Changing the pump will not require having the tracking done again. There is no direct link to the track rods so no need for adjustments to the tracking.
